I want to know what color accessories would work, bedding, curtains, pictures.

Rust and sage are colors of the American southwest. I'd find some beautiful photo books from the library of that part of the country and choose your colors from those. Sage has purple blossoms, and silvery foliage grows near by, with accents of red, flame, etc. I think your best inspiration will be from photos of the Colorado/New Mexico/Utah landscapes. You don't have to do a Western theme room to use that color palette. In general, colors found together in nature are pleasing and relaxing to look at in decor.
Reply:This sounds very pretty. A dark green, soft gold, and cream colors will look great in this room. I'd try to keep the background of your bedding light colored ....like the cream with the accent colors in the dark green and gold since the walls and carpet are dark.

Reply:Consider spreading the sage color around the room and not just for the carpet - pillows for the bed, find pictures to hang with both sage and rust, maybe a landscape. Bedding itself could be a taupe color. Curtains - think about that taupe color with a sage and/or rust trim of ribbon. Even if you buy curtains, adding trim with an iron on tape would not be difficult. Accessories - add nature colors, rocks surrounding a candle, different shape ferns placed in frames with taupe matting's. All picture frames should be the same color, maybe black. Every room needs a little black for sophistication. Is there a chair in the room? Add a small throw in your taupe color and an end table in black. So the color scheme would be rust, sage and taupe. The key will be spreading these colors around the room for a pleasing eye appeal. You will be pleased.
