Something ate all the leaves off my sage plant!!!?
Yeah, well something attacked my pepper plant and I am like you. I don't see the culprit!

...yes I do, it is my mischevious beagle, I see the dirt on her nose now.
Reply:Hey Eisor,

Deer like sage. To do something about this problem, you need to know your enemy. Try making the ground around the sage all Muddy, each night before the sun goes down. Then you will get tracks if it is animal. If it is insects, check different times of the day - and use a magnifying glass about 10x. Look close at it.

Once you know your enemy, then you have the issue of asking how to control that.

Sevin - should get rid of most insects.

Deer-away or marigolds will repel deer (and marigolds will also keep 'pesky wabits' away.
Reply:take hair and place it around the base of the plant(s) and the animals won't touch it. we plant a huge garden every year and this is the only thing that works great and is not expensive. usually i go to my salon and ask them to save me hair in a grocery bag and i pick it up before the salon closes. something in the scent of hair makes the animals not go to the plants. good luck!
Reply:I don't know what kind of critter it might have been but you can try sprinkling cayenne pepper around the plant and hope it doesn't happen again.
Reply:ehhh

as a kid i like to pull on branches so the leaves fall off

:O yes i know im the devil child!

other than that maybe a bird(for a nest) or some wierd tree climbing hedgehog?
Reply:Might have been a rabbit..

I can't imagine that a squirrel at it..
