Paint the dressers white using a semi-gloss latex paint. For an added touch, replace the hardware on both of the dressers with the antique looking glass knobs. Even if your dressers are different using the same hardware will pull them together and make them appear as if from a set. If you use off-white to paint the dressers they will always look dirty. Usually off-white is used when you plan on distressing the edges to make it appear old or antiqued.

Reply:You could do either. I personally would do the off-white because it would add some warmth versus the white which can sometimes seem cold. With either color though, you have a nice pallet for a "shabby chic" room. Have fun!
