Are there any practical uses for the fruit of the old sage orange trees?

What can you do with this fruit

Are there any practical uses for the fruit of the old sage orange trees?
It is "Osage orange" and they are supposed to be good to keep spiders away in basements etc. Just watch and don't leave them too long or they will rot.
Reply:Horses love them. don't know about cows. Don't think I want to eat them. Wood is one of the hardest and most enduring woods for floors.....blah blah.......

Ah, thanks for the memories of watching the beautiful Arabian horses in my care stand on their hind legs to get the fruit out of the trees. Yeah, I stopped what I was doing to go help. Horse kisses are nice!
Reply:Dried they make poparies (nice smell in sock drawer)
Reply:Dry it up and SMOKE IT!
