Been to A shipping company, didn't work out!! Can't fly her;involves major stress,for her and us.

How do I get my beloved pet Sage;Friendly Akita/Rotti mix, goes 100 lbs from Maine to florida for $400.Safely!
drive it dont trust someone else with your dog, they may seem nice or like a good person but who knows what they will do with your dog once they left your house with your money
Reply:Do you have a friend who is unemployed, and has a reliable vehicle? If so, just pay him/her to drive the dog. Might be more than $400, as you should pick up the tab for gas, tolls, and motel round trip, plus a hundred or two for the effort and wear and tear on the car.





The trip could easily take 2 or 3 days, or more, depending on where in Maine you start, and where in Fla. you're going.
Reply:You can drive there for much less than that. If your dog won't travel well in the car, you could see if you can rent or borrow a horse trailer to put her in- in a crate. This is how I plan on moving 9 pets and several VERY large houseplants when I finally move cross-country.





PS: If you take turns driving/napping, only stopping for gas and potty breaks, you can make this trip in a little over 24 hours.
