Painting my living room. I have red and sage furniture and brown carpet. What color should the walls be?

play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family %26amp; color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think an orange like "Sunset" (# 6626) would look good.

Either a sandy tone or a sage would look good. Maybe paint three walls in a soft sand and one in a lighter or darker sage than your furniture color. You could also use brown as an accent wall color. I wouldn't add another major color though but you could add some black accents in the room in the way of lamps and picture frames.
Reply:I would go with a light tan color shown here

I think that would look great.
Reply:Consider:

white, off white, or ivory

pale yellow

pale gold
Reply:Get funky and go for a Shade of Chocolate, slightly darker than your carpet,. May be fun.
Reply:If you are not intending to go bold with it, yes a light beige will

look lovely.
