How will burning sage help with the spirit following my friend?
burning sage is called smudging. It is a practice used by american indians. There are different thoughts, one is to make the negative spirit visiable. Once seen, it can no longer hide and is forced to leave the residence. Smudging can be used to rid the home of negative feelings with little harm to the user. It will however, leave a lingering smell for a couple of days if you don't open the windows after the process. The smoke is to carry the spirits out of the house, open the windows so it can leave. Start with a room farthest from the front of the house, always walking counter clockwise in each room then open the door or window and let the smoke carry the spirit out. If your friend is being followed out side a house, then he or she must find a crystal for protection where ever they go, or some other amulet to protect them.They must believe in their strenght to be stronger than what is bothering them. Call upon a guardian angel saying guardian angel come to me. Protect me, guide me and show me the way.
Reply:Sage is known for its purification properties. It purifies and absorbs negativity. But if you friend needs a little "something something" they can wear a hematite stone around their neck or on their person. It does the same thing and it smells less offensive.. ;)

Reply:Sage is thought to have purifying energy about it, and burning it is a good way to diserse them.
