if you go with a nice dark red like a wine color, a tan, neutral color will allow you to use other earth tones like sage green in the room as well. I think you will ike the combination we did the same thing and any one who comes in the room commentson the warm inviting feeling the room gives.

Reply:I would go for a neutral earth tone. Depending on how large your room is a good way of determining how dark to make it... for a smaller room a creme, or eggshell. For a very large room you could go tan or a very light shade of mocha. Make cure to have some kinda of artwork, or blanket, ... something... that brings the three colors together.
