i have just put some really nice sage green light khaki green (sounds awfull but its not!) paper on most of the walls in my lounge. i want an accent colour to paint my fire place. i want a nice warm colour but i dont like cream or magnolia etc. help!!
What colour goes with sage green or light khaki green?
A little yellow I suppose would match.
Reply:I would paint it a moca color.. Best discribed like coffee with cream. Or sometimes refereed to as Bosten. Sears has a color called Weathersfied the would go nicely
Reply:Deep dark red

That said, and after applying thousands of gallons of paint I also know this,,,"The customer is always right,,,even when they aren't."
I suggest you pick up a color wheel, or chip sample booklet at any decent paint store, and make the comparisons.
The good NEWS is, Paint, can be painted over.

Reply:Reddish brown, cream, electric blue.
Reply:Antique yellow with brown accents.
Reply:Well you don't mention other colors in your room, such a furniture. So I will just throw out my favorite. Dark Rust/
Actually look at the color wheel at the paint store for an accent color for your sage green
(I too love the sage color)
Reply:brown
Reply:All greens go together, look at nature, try a muted red or a different shade of green
Reply:Try dusty rose and or celery , although on a fireplace, a taupe would be less dramatic. try swatches of those three colors and you will surprised
Reply:chocolate or lemon
Reply:Gold
Reply:Being a VETERAN ...the colors that go best with you scheme is OXBLOOD RED....OR CORDOVAN....try it together and smell the NAPALM......sgt. max 1966-70
